About Me
I  started this family research, back in 1977, when my daughter asked me where we came from.  I could only tell her what my father had said "There's a little English, German and Swedish in our family", and that wasn't much. So, I started searching for my ancestors and now it has become an everyday adventure.  The reason for having the various John Hoyt lines is so, that other people can answer the question of where they came from.
This site is being constantly updated, so some functions may not work for now.
I retired from the US Coast Guard in 1988 and have continued this search.  I appreciate any additions or corrections, as well as photos, that people are willing to share.  I continue to try to find out how John Hoyt got to America, but as of yet, his parents and his past have not been found.
